Hope and Anchor, 2011
Duration: 2 evenings of 2 hours each
Part of New Blood V Performance Festival, November 2011.

During this two evening festival, I stood outside tethered to an anchor embedded in a melting block of ice. The anchor was attached to a rope that turned into my hair. I wore an altered garment covered in rusty keys that loudly jingled with every small movement I made, heightening even the slightest shift in weight. In Christian iconography, the anchor is the symbol of Hope the theological virtue.
